Mum is no longer the word
Apple is hosting another one of their events, that’s two this month alone, in the UK tomorrow. Presumably to announce availability of the iPhone in Europe. O2 is apparently the forerunner for the UK but they appear to have paid through the nose for it if rumours are to believed. Apple will receive 40% of the call plan charges. That’s a big cut. It’s only 10 or 15 in the US I’m sure.
For the sheer fun of it i’m gonna make a prediction as to how much the iPhone will cost. I think £400 for the phone and then at least a £40 a month price plan. Don’t think there will be a 3G version since O2 implemented EDGE into their network last month, UK phones don’t use EDGE so far as I know, so this could only be for the iPhone.
I’ve really gone off the iPhone now that I got my new phone and love it. I mean sure it’s pretty but I’ll probably pick up an iPod Touch towards the end of next year when they release the next generation. I also couldn’t stand to use the keyboard on the iPhone, how people manage to text on that I have yet to discover.
It will be interesting to see how mad the UK goes for the iPhone.
