Today in college we had a careers advisor come speak with us about applying to Universities. It’s weird cos I was going to talk to Mark, our course leader, about that exact thing. Anyway applying to Uni is a lot more complicated than applying for college, boo! To apply for Uni you need to write a personal statement about why you want to do what you want to do.

Anyway after the lady had left I went on some of the website she’d given us for looking up courses based on subject. There’s only one graphic design and desktop publishing course in Glasgow and I think (and Mark confirmed this) that it’s more interactive media than what I’m doing just now. So I looked in all of Scotland and found a course in Edinburgh that sounds exactly like what I want. I’m going to apply for it and hope for the best, it wouldn’t be too difficult to relocate to Edinburgh and I think that I’d like the challenge of living on my own and being independent. Unfortunately Edinburgh is the second city, after London, in the UK for priciest places to live. Yay!

The worst that can happen is I apply and get told no.
