This week in TV
Apart from Smallville this has been a surprisingly good week of TV viewing.
Brothers and Sisters: I’m a bit annoyed that the writers chose to go down the “Justin is an addict” road again since it was pretty well documented last season. I’m glad they made Joe relent on the custody thing, it was really out of character for him to do such a thing. Tommy’s storyline with the assistant is stupid, he loves his wife and daughter and I don’t think he would do such a thing if it were real life. I don’t know where they are going with it. Kevin is clearly going to get involved with Scotty again, it’s just tedious dragging it out so long. Is Saul gay or not?
Desperate Housewives: What an episode. It was halloween on Wisteria Line and the resident gays threw a huge party with lots of half naked camp men around. Lynette was waiting to find out if she was free from cancer and went a big crazy trying to get rid of the local possum and there was a very touching moment once she’d found out she was free form cancer where she went into the garden and started crying and then saw the possum dead and apologized to it. Andrew dressed as Cher was just brilliant, best moment of the show so far. Mikes story about his dad seemed a bit random.
Heroes: FINALLY! An episode on par with season one. Hopefully they can keep up the quality.
Grey’s Anatomy: The Izzy and George storyline just needs to end already. It’s painful and dragging the whole show down. Is Cristina gonna hook up with McSteamy? There seemed to be something between them in the viewing room. How can Meredith actually be so messed up? Bailey finally got the recognition she deserved and was made chief resident.
Ugly Betty: Brilliant as always. My mum asked me what I was watching because she could hear me laughing from downstairs. The bit when Hilda was climbing from room to room? Genius. When Amanda did the hand gesture to Cliff? Brilliant. Victoria Beckham was also surprisingly funny as Wilhemina’s maid of honour. Is Bradford gonna die though? I’m thinking not but it would be interesting if he did.
Smallville: I didn’t think it could get any worse. But it did. Cringeworthingly bad. I can’t bare to think about it again.
