Checked in and raring to go

I just did online check in for my flights tomorrow, got the seats at the back of the plane that only has two seats so I only have one person to shift to get to the loo. It’s the exact same seat as when I flew to Seattle on BA last year at this time!
I’m [...]

Party time - The aftermath

Well it’s been and gone, the drinks have been drunk, the food has been munched and the presents have been counted. So was the party a success? I think so yes, my Mum certainly seemed to have a good time. I spent most of the time playing host (for which I received a lot of [...]

Camera

I’ve had my camera for almost six months now, and last night I found two new things to do with it that I didn’t know how to do before. I can manually adjust the shutter speed (low for fast moving objects, high for long exposures) and aperture setting.
So of course I decided to try them [...]

Hey, I put some new shoes on

I finally got the shoes I saw about two months ago that I really wanted. I got them with some Christmas money so Tim couldn’t bitch Now HE wants to buy a pair with HIS money, not Christmas money. Hypocrite or what?
They are fab shoes though, but of course it’s still another thing I [...]

Party time

Well it’s finally here, the day of my Mum’s party. The house is clean, the food is ready to be cooked, the booze is chilled and ready to be poured.
Now we just need some guests…

Sick kitty - Update

I went round to the vets this morning with Jess, she hadn’t moved all night nor eaten so I wasn’t hopeful. The vets told me that she was bleeding into her other eye and was going to go blind in that eye too in a matter of days. Her movement wasn’t likely to ever return [...]

The Amber Spyglass

I finally finished The Amber Spyglass last night, such a good book. It’s really good to see how it all comes together in the end and ties up nicely. It’s a sad ending though
Of the three books my favourite is probably Northern Lights then Amber Spyglass then Subtle Knife.

Vroom Vroom

EA released a demo for Burnout Paradise yesterday and I personally thought it was really good. It’s quite a departure from the normal Burnout formula but I think a drastic change was needed. The best way to describe it now is Test Drive Unlimited but with Burnout crashes. There was only a small section of [...]

Sick kitty

My cat Jess had a stroke last night We took her to the vets this morning and she’s given her an anti inflammatory jag and we’ve to see how she responds within 24 hours and then decide what to do. She’s 14 though so she’s had a long life but I think she’s been [...]

I feel like a hero, and you are my heroine

Brilliant little band out of Boston, Boys Like Girls’ debut album Boy Like Girls is probably one of, if not, my favourite album this year. It’s spunky, heartfelt and easy to sing along to. It’s somewhere in between Rock and Emo, shall we call it Remo? I also love the album cover, so much I [...]
