Cleared for Landing
22 days after take off I’m back home again.
I arrived Tuesday afternoon after a very brief stint in London, my plane out of Philly was late and so my hour and a half layover turned into a twenty minute dash across Heathrow. I just made it luckily, my bags however are fatter and did not. So I got to Glasgow and my bags weren’t there so I was told they’d be sent out to me. I got a taxi home, which was a reasonable £13 + £2 tip, and waited. One of the bags turned up at 8:50 that night but the other was nowhere to be seen. Guess which bag had my MacBook charger in it?
It turned up at 18:30 on Wednesday though so I’ve got them both and everything was there so it was only a minor inconvenience. I gave my Mum the iPod Shuffle that Tim and I got her and she loves it, I can see me being called on a lot for tech support though. She also loved the magnets that Tim’s Mum got her and the Philly one I got her.
So that’s my traveling done till the summer when I’ll be heading back to Seattle and then Tim is coming back with me to Scotland for a week or two. I had such an awesome time over the three weeks I was away though, it felt so much longer than it was. My favourite touristy thing we did was probably going to Washington, D.C. It’s such a beautiful city and I’d definitely go back there again some day. But my overall favourite thing was definitely just hanging round the house playing games with Tim and his family. They made me feel so welcome and they were all so nice. I hope I get to meet them again some time.
Well that’s it, back to normality.
