It was my second day of work today, I was still there as an extra body and I will be again tomorrow for the last time, but it was much more hands on today. For one thing I stayed there the entire four hours! The first two hours went pretty slow but the last two seemed to fly by, guess which we were busy during?

I was working with Claire and Renata for the entire time but Steve and Sarah were there for the first hour. Renata is Slovakian so she has quite a strong accent and is kind of hard to understand sometimes when she is going really fast but I got most of what she was saying.

I was shown how to do the food stuff like nachos, pizza and tapas today and then I filled the drink fridges and cake cabinets. After that I made some drinks for some people who came in and then I collected some dishes. Later on we did some cleaning and Claire was gonna show me where to take the bins, until she saw that the lane to get to the bins was flooded and we’d need a canoe to get there without getting wet. So I’ll probably do them tomorrow if it’s not wet again.

Although I was only on for four hours, Claire let me take a break and make myself a drink which was nice. I made a hot chocolate which was yummy and then I made Claire a peach cooler drink which was fun. I might make myself one of those on Friday on my break.

I got my hours for next weekend, I’m in Friday 10-3, Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 11-5 which should be fun. 17 hours though so I’ll be making about £90 out of it. I’m apparently working the entire Monday-Friday the week after though which’ll be interesting. I’m contracted as a part timer but Nalin says she’ll probably have me working full time hours because people are taking holidays a lot for the next few weeks. That’s fine by me though as it means more moolah!
