Idea

I was trying to link my eBay account to my PayPal account when I stumbled across a page on PayPal telling about their shopping cart that you can add to your website.
This gave me the idea (which I’ve actually had for a long time but haven’t been able to implement before) that I set up [...]

Don’t tell the fanboys..

..but apparently the new Indy films isn’t great. Hooray!
Is George Lucas’ newest special effect the ability to make his new films so crap that people rush out to buy the previous ones to remember how good they were?

Heatwave

We seem to be having something of a heat wave in Glasgow just now. Right now (at 6PM) it’s 70ºF (21ºC) which is unnaturally hot for Scotland. Yesterday and Monday were both the same and the forecast says it’s to continue until the weekend when, unsurprisingly, it’s due to rain.
At least we had a few [...]

Waterfoot

I went for a walk yesterday to a little waterfall that’s about a half hour away from my house.
I actually thought it wasn’t that far but it must’ve been about a mile and a half in the end.
Anyway I tested out my neutral density filter which is like sunglasses for the camera. It allows [...]

The Dark Knight

I’ll be the first to admit I don’t like Batman. The comics, the movies, the tv show. I hate it.
But I loved Batman Begins. I also can’t wait to see The Dark Knight and the newest trailer released for it has only increased my anticipation.
Looks like Heath’s last acting job was a good one, which [...]

Grab Up

Grab Up, not to be confused with the shitty dance “street” movie Step Up, is an interesting little application for the Mac.
When you hit command-shift-4 on a Mac, you are given a little set of crosshairs and you can click and drag over a selected area of the screen and a jpg of this area [...]

Iron Man

I went to see Iron Man yesterday with Chris and his boyfriend Andrew. Amazingly I really enjoyed it.
I don’t like the Iron Man comic character. Never have. But you just can’t help but like Robert Downey Jr.’s playboy take on Tony Stark.
Elsewhere the film takes a risk by being somewhat political. It succeeds at [...]

Mistaken Identity

What a horrifying and heartbreaking story. Mistaken Identity is a new non-fiction book that’s been released telling the story of a girl who was in a car crash and then mistakenly identified as someone else upon arriving at the hospital.
Her family and friends all thought she was dead, the dead girl’s family all thought she [...]
