Movie Minute

There’s two films releasing tomorrow that I’m really excited to see. WALL-E is the latest Disney/Pixar movie and since every Pixar movie I’ve seen has been brilliant, I’m excited to see this one. It’s currently sitting on a 92 on Metacritic which makes me optimistic it’ll be good.
The other film is Wanted and while I’m [...]

The Coffin Dancer

I finished yet another Jeffrey Deaver book, my second in as many weeks.
This was the second book in the series so while I knew that certain characters were fated to live or die, I was still held in suspense when their lives were hanging in the balance.
The twist at the end of the book [...]

Everyone’s a little bit lacist

I totally forgot to post about all the fun I had on Saturday night.
We went out to dinner at a restaurant called the Tap House grill. I had garlic chicken penne and then an ice cream sandwich for dessert. It was pretty tasty.
After that we headed up to the theatre to see Avenue Q [...]

Haller Lake

I took a walk round the corner to Haller Lake today. I’ve known it’s there for a while but never been bothered to go. It was nice today so I figured, why not?

To get there you go to the bottom of the street, but that was a private road so I didn’t think there was [...]

Of haircuts and dog parks

We got up early today and headed over to Capitol Hill where Tim got his hair cut. After saying hi to his friend Rick (who owns the bar right across the street) and a quick pitstop at Starbux, we headed home to pick up the girls and go to the park.

Since it’s semi nice outside [...]

Summertime, when the weather is hot

It’s 81ºF in Seattle right now (that’s 27ºC for all you Metrics) and sunny, there’s not a cloud in the sky.
I took advantage of the lovely weather to sit out the back and finish my book, Jeffery Deaver’s The Broken Window. I love the Lincoln Rhyme novels, I love most crime thrillers really but [...]

Music to my ears

It’s gonna be a musical summer. This Saturday I’m going to see Avenue Q, Jimmy Eat World in July (woo!) and Shrek The Musical in August.
Obviously the one I’m most excited about is Jimmy Eat World because I’ve been dying to see them since I got Futures almost three years ago.
However the two musicals [...]

I kissed a girl and I liked it

I went with Xak and Domi downtown yesterday, it’s their last day in town and Xak wanted to take Domi on the Seattle Underground Tour down at Pioneer Square.
I’d already done the tour but I was going a bit stir crazy in the house so I figured I’d take my camera and go for [...]

Clean up your eyes and I’ll dance alone with you in daylight

What a weekend it turned out to be.
On Friday Xak and Domi arrived around lunchtime. We said hi, I gave them a tour of the house and then we headed out. Xak got lost (ha!) on the way to Ballard but we ended up at this really neat little cafe diner by the waterside.

I had [...]
