Nike+ Nightmare
I bought the Nike+ iPod kit this week because I’m gonna start going running. It’s a nifty piece of kit. You get a little adapter to attach to your Nano and a sensor to put on your shoe.
Once you’re done running you sync the iPod with iTunes and it uploads your run data to Nikeplus.com where you can view a mountain of information about your run.
I’ve downloaded a couple of iMixes with dance music to listen to while running which is cool. So far I’ve run 2.87 miles in two runs. My first one was a bit crappy cos I stopped to walk for a bit in the middle and didn’t pause it.
So while the hardware is good, the software on Nikeplus.com is a little lacking. There’s no immediate and easy way to take the information from Nikeplus to your website.
I spent the past two hours trying to get an assortment of widgets working and finally found, hidden in a double submenu, a flash widget.
You can view it over on the right. That’s that way. —>

Good luck with the running. It’s my least favorite activity, but I think someday I’ll add it to my regimen.
Hopefully.
Someday.

Nice! Make sure you calibrate that correctly… there is a school not too far from Tim’s house you could use the track there to do that if you haven’t already

Yeh I dunno if it’s for public use or only for the school pupils but I’m gonna give it a shot tomorrow as the worst they can do is kick me out…

Wow, there really is a “widget” for everything nowadays isn’t there? Not sure what to make of that trend, but since it has (partly) inspired you to go running I’ll say it’s probably a positive thing
It’s something I keep meaning to do but putting off, I must admit. Think I should just shut up and go to a gym really…
