We did it!

Barack Obama was just elected President of the United States of America.

His acceptance speech was pretty good, he even mentioned the gays before the straighties.
A couple of people have given me “advice” warning that it could still be years before Obama invokes equal rights.I’m well aware of that, part of why I kinda hoped [...]

Judgement Day beckons

Well tomorrow’s the day. My future is decided. Do I move to Seattle or do I stay in Scotland? If Obama wins then hopefully within a year or two I can move to Seattle. If McCain wins then within a year or two Tim will be moving here.
God I hope Obama wins.

Weather

Another reason it sucks being back in Scotland: every day since I’ve gotten home it has rained. Seattle on the other hand has enjoyed glorious sunshine.

Touchdown

I’m back in the UK now. I landed at Heathrow yesterday afternoon after a ten hour flight. I was hoping to get some sleep on the flight since it was overnight (I left Seattle at 10PM) but didn’t get a wink of sleep.
I did manage to finish Gossip Girl season one though which I really [...]

Last night Tim and I went to dinner with Jack and his boyfriend John. We were originally going to the De Luxe (one of my favourite restaurants in Seattle, tho Tim hates it) but the wait there was forty five minutes (see, it must be good!) so we walked down Broadway to the Broadway Grill.
We [...]

Last flight to London Heathrow

I can’t believe it’s here, my last day in Seattle. I feel like I’m waiting for someone to should “Psych!” at me and tell me that going back to Scotland is actually a joke. It just doesn’t feel right, it feels like I’m gonna go out to the airport tonight and turn right back around [...]

I got to play a couple games, I saw a lot of them demoed, saw the new Xbox Experience which looks really [...]

Happysad

I’m hapysad. Happy and sad. I head home on Thursday only now it doesn’t feel like going home, it feels like I’m leaving it.
However I have more to look forward to when I get home now. I have my job (which I go back to right away) which’ll earn me money and have me busy [...]

PAX Day Three

The last day of PAX is here already unbelievably. I don’t know that I’ve had as much fun this year as I did last year even tho I’ve done more.
I’m excited to see what the final round of the Omegathon is. Last year it was Halo 3 multiplayer so hopefully they can top that.
I found [...]

PAX: Day Two

It’s day two of PAX and Tim and I are across the street from the Seattle Convention center having breakfast in the Daily Grill.
Highlights today include a Geoff Keighley (woof) panel, Fallout 3 demo, a blogging panel and just getting time to play all the games on the show floor.
Will be trying to get time [...]
