I’m almost finished Spiderman: Web of Shadows which has been a very mixed bag so far. The story is pretty cool but it’s told in this really disjointed way that makes it hard to follow. The fighting is easier but much more repetitive since it all revolved around one button. It seems for every thing they improved on they broke something else.

I’m stuck on what I think must be one of the last missions. I know what I have to do to progress but it seems to be physically impossible which is obviously a design flaw. VERY frustrating.

The Killers’ new album is out next week. I wasn’t actually excited for this after Sam’s Town but I’ve been playing Human a lot and really like it so I’ll prolly pick up the new one.

I went into town on Friday to meet Chris for coffee since I hadn’t seen him in ages. We, as we always do, went to Starbucks and I asked about eggnog lattes fearing the worst after reading everything about them being stopped. The girl says they are coming in on December 1st and are limited stock.

I got a toffee nut latte and a panini which they messed up and gave to someone else! So I got a voucher for a free drink next time I’m in which was cool. I also got my first red cup of the season.

After Starbucks we went for a walk around the shops which I when I bought the best t-shirt ever for only £10. Tim was extremely jealous.

Tomorrow I’m meeting up with Paula and then we’re going up to Kirstins since I haven’t seen her new house yet so that should be fun. No work tomorrow or Thursday, yay!

Now I’m off to finish reading Raising Atlantis…

Well Microsoft apparently thinks that approach is so last year so they’ve decided a better way is to make your ad as surreal as possible. First there was the “play 360 and your head will cave in” effort and now there’s this.

It’s just the weirdest looking thing ever. I actually thought it was gonna pop into where the guys mouth should be. And what is that guys dancing all about anyway? I guess after paying Seinfeld all that money they don’t have much of an advertising budget left.

I’m still on the fence about Lips. It looks kinda fun but the line up of songs didn’t set my mouth on fire. I also haven’t heard how the “play your own tracks” bit works. Maybe I’ll ask Santa for it.

On a funnier note I found out about the Anti-Gay Blacklist website which is currently doing the rounds. Basically it’s a list, legally obtained, of all the people who donated to Yes on 8, which was the side that wanted to ban it. So now people are boycotting their businesses which has the people on the list in an uproar. Guess you shouldn’t be a bigot then should you!

If you live in the States and notice one of these is a business near you, take your business elsewhere! If they don’t want to let us marry then surely they don’t want our money.

I also was worried that the ache might be my wisdom teeth coming through cos I remember Linzi had a rough time when hers came through so I’ve been dreading it. Turns out all four of mine are already through yay!

My neighbours two up on the left are getting something done to their roof I think cos they have a scaffold going all the way round the house.

Oh and the neighbour to the right has put his skip outside our house. Which is fine cos my mum parks across the other side of the street anyway but he’s got a cheek not to have asked us if it was ok since he’s the one that doesn’t let anyone park outside his house.

It’s a survival horror game like Resident Evil but set in space. The game creates tense, creepy environments and then makes things jump out at you and such.

So playing in a dark room with noise isolating headphones on probably wasn’t the best idea. But it really enhanced the experience it has to be said.

Really looking forward to playing some more tomorrow.

I’m gonna send back Saints Row 2 tomorrow to hopefully get Fallout 3 which has been getting rave reviews. Saints Row 2 didn’t impress me very much.

Could you ever have contemplated, as an eight year old, committing two murders, one of which was your father? Cos that’s what a child in Arizona did with his weekend. He shot dead his father and a family friend. In cold blood, and not on the spur of the moment or by accident.

I don’t know if I even knew what murder was aged eight. I’m sure I’d seen gun fights in movies and such but I don’t know if I grasped the concept at such a young age. To have done the act at that age just boggles the mind.

There must have been a reason the kids did what he did. But there’s reportedly no motive found yet and he was never in trouble at school or anything.

Scary really is the only word to describe it.
